Vuvubook : The First 20 Years
All those great Vuvu Boys games that you love, collected together for the first time in one place. Or rather, backstory, design documents, financial reports, secret internal discussions, reviews, negotiations and gossip about those great Vuvu Boys games that you love, the games themselves are not included. You want to read some of the Ted and Badger novelisation? Maybe you lost the controls page from Learn to be Rad with Ghengis Khan? Perhaps you're just a fan of the pithy messages added to the Top Choice rereleases.
Whatever your motivation, that's what this book is about.
This is a hardback book containing almost 80 pages of previously undisclosed Vuvu Boys backstory. Each copy will be signed by someone associated with writing it. I might even include a pithy message. I might not. Depends if I sell more than a dozen and how tired my hand gets.
This book works on a PREPURCHASE scheme. Your payment will be taken immediately and held until the end of the sale offer, at which point I'll order all the books to be printed and shipped. The intention is that all orders will be in transit by December 1st, however I'll give regular updates until everything has been dispatched.
Why do it this way? Because doing it any other way would mean one of two scenarios:
1. I don't order enough copies, and some people miss out
2. I order too many copies and have a bunch of stock I'll likely never shift
Both those scenarios suck.
You can request a full refund at any point up to the day the last book is shipped. After that point it'll depend on my mood and how nice you are when requesting one. I cannot promise delivery in time for the all important Christmas gifting window, but I'll do my absolute best.
The book is already written. It's good to go. I've included some mockups of what the final version will look like (it's a square, hardback 30cm x 30cm art-style book) which should also give you a fair idea of what to expect.

One part quality. One part because it's a short run. One part because it's worth it. One part because I'm subsidising some of the shipping costs with the cover price so I can offer a flat rate.
Will you offer the book again?
If there's plenty of interest in this first part, I may do a second part when the series is near its conclusion. In which case I'll offer the original again. No, there won't be a discount for buying both at that time, I wasn't born yesterday. See how I'm being upfront about this stuff?
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Unless you live in a country I'm not supposed to send things to. You already know if you live in one of those.
I might change the cover. I like it, and it fits the weird meta associated with the Vuvu Boys but I'm not sold on it yet. I'll let you know when I've decided. So, if you are the kind of person to judge a book by its cover be aware that the judgement you're making may be based on the wrong cover and then what will you do?
